Hurricane Disaster Relief

Katrina packed a real punch. The images remind me of those from Thiland as they tried to dig their way out the the Tsunami months ago. Since 9/11 we've heard about people who hate americans, but so far I haven't heard of any other country coming to the aid of america like we jump to the aid of other countries when they need help. I'd like to take this moment to be boastful and pride. Plain and simple, AMERICAN'S ROCK! I heard today that the American Red Cross had raised more than $70 million dollars already to help the hurricane survivors. Where else in the world to people rush to the aid of disaster victims like we do? I wish we would take care of our own better when they simply have a bad situation, without disaster, but that doesn't change the fact that when we as a country need each other, we got it.
